The P.R.O.J.E.C.T. Within WAV
Project-WAV is the P.R.O.J.E.C.T. within WAV. It is a youth ran division of Without A Voice, Inc. and it consists of youth ages 14-18 who are also adamant about increasing awareness and breaking the chains of belligerence. Without A Voice, Inc. identifies the problem and Project-WAV focuses on the solution.
Project-WAV has created an "Expression Therapy" program which is a program that utilizes Art, Media, Music, Sports and Entertainment as forms of expression.
They've also created a program called "The Reading Initiative Designed for Excellence" (R.I.D.E.), which is an Art and Literacy Integration Program that consists of several age specific components.
Although our primary focus is on the underprivileged youth, we also realize that strengthening must c1ontinue within the homes, in the schools, and throughout our community. Join Us ~ "Become the change you want to see"

"STOP the SILENCE/ VIOLENCE" -ADDRESSING THE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AFFECTING OUR YOUTH
"Research shows across America, that many of our youth 12-18 years old, are engaged in unhealthy relationships and uncompromising situations. Even worse, is that some of them are completely unaware of their circumstances, leaving them in a state of denial, while others are afraid to tell anyone, so they choose to suffer in silence. Research also shows that most victims and those who victimize others, will generally develop some serious emotional and psychological issues, which can lead to PTSD and other mental health challenges."
WAV will continue to increase awareness and host events that will educate our youth on appropriate on and offline behaviors, as well as the indicators of any potentially dangerous situations. We currently have 3 Certified Mental Health Coaches and 2 Life Coaches on staff. We also have access to additional resources and other professional support services. Your donation will allow WAV to maintain a safe space for our youth. This will help prevent our youth from having to suffer in silence.
